The petitioner seeks bail in a criminal prosecution registered under Sections 25(1) (a)/25 (1-AA)/25(1-B)a/26(II) of the Arms Act.

Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is alleged to be a manufacturer of the firearm in question and several firearms were allegedly seized from his possession as per the F.I.R. vide Annexure-1, this Court is not inclined to accede to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner for grant of bail at this stage. Accordingly, his prayer for bail in connection with S.C. No. 866 of 2014 arising out of Jamalpur P.S. Case No. 104/2014, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge 3rd, Munger is rejected for the present.

Learned court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner. However, if the trial of the petitioner is not concluded within a period of six months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order, then he shall be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
