1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AC to AAG-12.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in the event if a direction is issued to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Bikramganj to dispose of Settlement Case No. 06 of 2001-02 within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State also fairly submits that the writ application can be disposed of with the aforesaid direction as submitted by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.16990 of 2021(3) dt.13-11-2024 2/2 learned counsel for the petitioner, as from the pleadings made in the writ application, it manifests that the settlement case is pending adjudication since 2001-2002.

4. The Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the Sub-Divisional Officer, Bikramganj to dispose of the Settlement Case No. 06 of 2001-02 within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if already not disposed.

5. Accordingly, the instant writ application is disposed of.
