JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 20-08-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs - "(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities for resumption of the supply of essential commodities/food grains/oil to the petitioner's shop under the Public Distribution System for which he is having a license valid upto 30.09.2016 and the PDS license has neither been suspended nor cancelled but the supply has been stopped without there being any valid and cogent reason.

(ii) For issuance of any other appropriate writ/writs,

2. None appears on behalf of the petitioner despite repeated calls. By order dated 07.08.2018, the petitioner was granted ten days' time to inform the present status of the license which has not been complied.

3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that admittedly the license of the petitioner's shop was valid upto 30.09.2016 which has already been elapsed.

4. Having regard to the nature of the prayer of the petitioner, stating that the PDS license was valid only upto 30.09.2016 and nothing has been brought on record to show that the same has been renewed. This Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter and the writ petition stands dismissed.
