The petitioner has been arrested in connection with Special Case No.72 of 2013, arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 77 of 2013 registered under Sections 7 and 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Earlier by order dated 14.05.2014 prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected. However, it is submitted that charge sheet has been submitted in this case.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. However, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after framing of the charge. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of six months. m.p.
