In the present writ application, the following reliefs have been sought for on behalf of the petitioner : 1(i) To issue appropriate writ order in nature of the Writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to grant appropriate compensation to the petitioner on account of the maternal death of his wife namely, Sumintri Devi at the Patna Medical College Hospital, Patna in the morning of 24.04.2015.

(ii) To issue appropriate writ order in nature of the Writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to grant appropriate compensation to the petitioner on account of the infant's death during the course of

Patna High Court CWJC No.9331 of 2016(3) dt.07-01-2019 2/2 normal delivery in the night of 23.04.2015 at Patna Medical College Hospital, Patna.

(iii) To issue appropriate writ order in nature of writ of mandamus directing Respondents to henceforth initiate an effectual inquiry into the aforesaid maternal death of the petitioner's wife and also with respect to the aforesaid infant's death (iv) To issue appropriate writ order in nature of the writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to carry maternal death review of the aforesaid death as per the guidelines framed under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)/National Health Mission. No legal right or statutory right of the petitioner has been denied, for which a writ under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is required to be issued. Hence, the petitioner is directed to approach before the competent forum/authority for redressal of his grievance. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
