2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with NDPS Case No. 45 of 2024, arising out of Korha P.S. Case No. 215 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 319(2), 318(2), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 3(5) of the BNS and Sections 21(C), 22(C), 25 of the NDPS Act.

3. As per allegation, 976.8 litres of banned codeinecontaining cough syrup and a white-yellow coloured pickup van were recovered from the possession of co-accused Manish Kumar.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners' status is merely that of the owners of the vehicle from which a huge quantity of codeine cough syrup was recovered. There is no concern with the recovery.

5. Sri J.N. Thakur, learned APP for the State has opposed

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.48012 of 2025(3) dt.31-10-2025 2/2 the prayer for bail and submitted that a huge quantity of codeine cough syrup was recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner. The witnesses in paragraph nos. 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the case diary have fully supported the prosecution case.

6. In my view, the petitioner does not deserve the privilege of bail, which is hereby rejected.
