The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Excise Case No. 238 of 2020 arising out of Purnea Sadar P.S. Case No. 209 of 2020 registered for the offence under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of te Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who is of clean antecedent, is innocent and has not committed any offence. In fact, nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is rotting in judicial custody since12.06.2020.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.3205 of 2021(2) dt.17-06-2021 2/2 let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing his personal bond to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (Excise), Purnea in connection with Special Excise Case No. 238 of 2020 arising out of Purnea Sadar P.S. Case No. 209 of 2020.
