JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 21-06-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction for quashing the letter dated 04.12.2013 contained in memo no. 1423 of 2013-14 issued by respondent no.2 The Managing Director, Women Development Corporation, Bihar, Patna by which he has most arbitrarily and quite erroneously cancelling the petitioner's assignment for running the protection Home & Mahila Helpline under the Mother Teresa

Patna High Court CWJC No.13383 of 2015(3) dt.21-06-2023 2/3 Service Organization without providing any opportunity of hearing and even issuing show cause notice.

(ii) For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents authorities to restore the petitioner's assignment for running protection Home & Mahila Help Line at Araria."

The learned counsel for the petitioners has at the outset submitted that though the petitioners have sought quashing of the impugned letter dated 04.12.2013, issued by the Managing Director, Women Development Corporation, Bihar, Patna, by which the assignment granted to the petitioners to run Short Stay Home, has been cancelled, however, the present writ petition is being confined to issuance of directions to the respondents to pay the necessary allotment made for the period the petitioner had validly run the said Short Stay Home i.e. till the date of cancellation of the said assignment. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioners in the present case, I deem it fit and proper to grant liberty to the petitioners to file appropriate representation before the Managing Director, Women Development Corporation, Bihar/District Magistrate, Araria for payment of the requisite amount for the period the petitioners had run the Short Stay

Patna High Court CWJC No.13383 of 2015(3) dt.21-06-2023 3/3 Home validly and legally.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
