Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been granted promotion as lecturer senior scale. However, the petitioner was not granted such benefit from the date petitioner was entitled. Referring to the UGC scheme, the decision of the Hon'ble Chancellor as well as different orders passed by this Court, he submits that the case of the petitioner requires re-consideration by the respondent. In the matter of revising the date of grant of promotion as lecturers senior scale, petitioner is entitled to grant such scale on completion of four years in terms of the scheme, but the petitioner was granted such

Mr. Singh referring to the order passed by this Court in C.W.J.C. No. 19086 of 2010 submitted that in similar case this Court has passed order for grant of senior selection grade with effect from the date of completion of four years under the Carrier Advancement Scheme and as such respondent may be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for extending similar treatment.

Considering the above submission of the petitioner and the stand of the respondent University, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to re-consider the case of the petitioner for grant of senior selection grade on completion of four years and revising the effect for grant of such promotion from the date of completion of four years. Final decision on the claim of the petitioner as to the date of grant of senior selection grade on completion to four years with all consequential benefits may be taken by the respondent expeditiously preferably within a period of four month from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands, allowed and disposed of. Order contained in Annexure-3 is hereby declared as ineffective and would not be impediment in
