The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Shahpur P.S. Case No. 31 of 2021 dated 21.01.2021 instituted for the offences under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

306 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a abandoned house of one Vinod Yadav.

The prosecution of the petitioner is on the basis of the statement of a Chaukidar who has identified the petitioner as having run away from the place of raid.

The petitioner, it is noted, has been made accused in four other cases but in all such cases, he has been granted bail.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57350 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 Regard being had to the nature of accusation and taking into account the period of custody from 06.07.2021, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise, Patna in connection with Shahpur P.S. Case No. 31 of 2021.
