Patna High Court CWJC No.16994 of 2021 dt.21-01-2022 2/3 Learned counsel for the petitioner, under instructions, states that the petitioner shall be content if a direction is issued to the competent authority for disposal of the petitioner's application for renewal of the license which is pending before him.

Learned counsel for the respondents states that the petitioner's application for renewal of license, alleged to be pending with the competent authority, shall positively be dealt with and decision taken thereupon, if not already done so, within a period of three months from today.

Statement accepted and taken on record.

As such, petition stands disposed of in the following terms:- (a) Petitioner shall make himself available with the competent authority on 3rd of February, 2022 along with a copy of this order;

Patna High Court CWJC No.16994 of 2021 dt.21-01-2022 3/3 (b) Needless to add, while considering such request, principles of natural justice shall be followed and due opportunity of hearing afforded to the parties; (c) Also, the reasoned and speaking order passed by the appropriate authority shall be supplied to the parties; (d) Liberty reserved to the petitioner to challenge the order before the appropriate forum, should the need so rise subsequently; and (e) We have not expressed any opinion on merits. All issues are left open;

Learned counsel for the State undertakes to communicate the order to the competent authority. The petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
