The petitioner, who had applied for the post of Assistant Professor (Sanskrit) in terms of Advertisement dated 21.09.2020 issued by the Bihar State University Service Commission (hereinafter referred to as "the Commission", is aggrieved by the action of the Commission in not calling the petitioner for interview, despite his application having been accepted by an order dated 16.05.2025 issued by the Commission (Annexure-3).
3. Learned Advocate for the Commission, on instruction, has submitted that the petitioner belongs to B.C. category candidate and the cut-off marks required for participation in the interview by the B.C. category has been fixed at 76, whereas the marks secured by the petitioner for
Patna High Court CWJC No.10628 of 2025(2) dt.07-07-2025 2/2 shortlisting of candidates for appearing in the interview in terms of the Advertisement is 72.

In view of the above, since the learned counsel for the Commission, on instruction, has submitted that the petitioner failed to secure the required cut-off marks of 76 for appearing in the interview for the post of Assistant Professor (Sanskrit) for B.C. category candidates in terms of Advertisement dated 21.09.2020, no direction can be given to the RespondentCommission to allow the petitioner to appear in the interview for selection of Assistant Professor (Sanskrit) in terms of Advertisement dated 21.09.2020.
5. The writ petition accordingly fails being devoid of merit and the same stands dismissed.
