The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Surajpura P.S. Case No.75 of 2018 registered under Sections 341, 323, 504, 506 and 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code besides Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The accusation is of torturing the opposite party no.2 by her husband (petitioner) and other in-laws for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand of cash Rs.2,00,000/- and removing the opposite party no.2 from the matrimonial house. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.71410 of 2018(8) dt.01-08-2019 2/2 admittedly, the petitioner is the husband of the opposite party no.2. Earlier, on the joint prayer of the parties, the matter was referred to the Conciliation and Mediation Centre, Patna High Court, Patna, for settlement of the dispute in between the petitioner and the opposite party no.2 but due to non-appearance of the opposite party no.2, the matter could not be settled in between the petitioner and the opposite party no.2 there, which would appear from the report dated 12.07.2019 of the Mediator, Conciliation and Mediation Centre, Patna High Court, Patna.

Having considered the facts and the circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender by him within six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, in connection with Surajpura P.S. Case No.75 of 2018, subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
