Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37149 of 2016(2) dt.17-09-2020 2/3 Complaint Case No. 1147 of 2015 dated 16.01.2016 and the F.I.R. bearing Andharamatth P. S. Case No. 23 of 2016 dated 20.03.2016 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 504, 307, 379, 384, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act, 1959.

The learned APP for the State has submitted that this is a case of the year 2016 and the investigation in this case must have been completed by now. There is no material on record to indicate that the investigation has continued up till now. In all its probability, the investigation would have been completed by now.

If at all the investigation is pending, the Investigating Officer is directed to conclude the investigation, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The aforesaid direction shall be implemented

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37149 of 2016(2) dt.17-09-2020 3/3 only if the case has remained pending at the stage of investigation.

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
