JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 05-10-2024 Pursuant to the order passed on 18.04.2019 in C.W.J.C. No. 6005 of 2019, opposite party No. 4 had disposed off the representation of the petitioners way back in the year 2019 only. As on date, petitioner No. 1 has retired, whereas petitioner Nos. 2 to 7 have already been given promotion to Group C posts from Group D posts.

2. However, Mr. Vijay Kumar Singh, the learned Advocate grieves that the promotion was given belatedly and the order passed by opposite party No. 4 is not backed by reasons.

3. That would not constitute good enough material to proceed against the opposite parties in contempt.

4. Should the petitioners so desire to challenge such belated promotion, they could approach the

Patna High Court MJC No.2563 of 2019(15) dt.05-10-2024 3/3 appropriate forum.

5. However, this contempt petition is dropped.
