The petitioner seeks regular bail in Vigilance P.S. Case No. 86 of 2014 registered under Sections 7, 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. According to the prosecution case, allegation against the petitioner is that he was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 6,000/-.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in jail since 18.11.2014 and chargesheet has already been submitted.

Learned P.P. for Vigilance, however, opposed the prayer for bail.

It appears that the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1338 of 2015 (3) dt.03-02-2015 2/2 petitioner was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 6,000/- and, for that, he has remained in jail for about 21⁄2 months and chargesheet has also been submitted.

Considering the facts aforesaid, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Vigilance, North Bihar, Muzaffarpur in Vigilance P.S. Case No. 86 of 2014, corresponding to Special Case No. 72/14.
