The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. In pursuance to the order dated 02.11.2022, status report of trial in connection with Udakishunganj P.S. Case No. 304 of 2018 has been received and kept at Flag-R, in which it is, inter alia, reported that the trial may be concluded within six months.

Considering the present stage of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, their payer for bail is rejected in connection with Udakishunganj P.S. Case No. 304 of 2018 pending before the court of the learned District and Sessions Judge, Madhepura.

However, Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the trial is not concluded within six months, the petitioners would be at liberty to renew their prayer for bail.
