The petitioner being the husband of the deceased is languishing in jail since 6.2.2016 in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 304B, 302, 201, 498A of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The accusation is of killing the daughter of the informant after three years of the marriage for non-fulfillment of dowry demands.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the First Information Report was lodged after inordinate delay. The impugned order reflects that the wife of the informant informed him, who used to live in Punjab, that her daughter was killed in her Sasural. On conclusion of investigation the final report (charge sheet) has been submitted.

Considering the nature of accusation, this Court is not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24870 of 2016 (3) dt.20-06-2016 inclined to grant bail to the petitioner in connection with Majorganj P.S.Case No. 30/2015 pending in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi. This application is, accordingly, rejected.

Let the trial be expedited.
