2. The petitioner in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition has sought inter alia the following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:- "i. For directing the respondent authorities to pay the arrear of family pension from August 2012 to November, 2024 and other consequential benefits along with appropriate interest on arrears, cost and compensation.

ii. And any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner be found entitled in law be granted to him."

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.11401 of 2025(3) dt.23-07-2026 2/2 submitted that substantial amount of retiral dues under different heads has already been paid and only arrears of the pension has not been paid for the period August, 2012 to November, 2024.

4. Per contra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Bank submitted that the family pension is presently being paid to the petitioner and the arrears are under process. He further submitted that the admissible arrears shall be released to the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of three weeks.

5. Considering that substantial amount of retiral dues has already been paid to the petitioner and the petitioner is already receiving family pension and the only grievance is with regard to the non-payment of arrears of family pension for the aforesaid period.

6. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the respondent concerned to ensure payment of the admissible arrears of family pension, if not already paid, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
