2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief(s):
"(i) for the payment of awarded
Patna High Court CWJC No.12457 of 2025(4) dt.28-07-2026 2/3 compensation amount of the Raiyati Land of petitioner acquired by the District Land Acquisition Officer, Rohtas at Sasaram and through District Magistrate, Rohtas, it was handed over to the Project Director, NHAI of NH-30 Rohtas for construction of National Highway Road.
(ii) for payment of statutory interest upon the delay payment of awarded compensation amount which is not paid uptil now since 26.08.2013 (the date of notification and acquisition).
(iii) for direction/order to the respondent authority to make an enquiry about the delayed payment of the compensation amount to the original Riayat (Petitioner).
(iv) for other relief/reliefs as your lordship may be deem fit and proper for the ends of justice in the matter."
3. The affidavits have come and still it is not clear whether the petitioner is entitled to the compensation amount and/or whether respondent no.12 Chandra Prakash Singh has
Patna High Court CWJC No.12457 of 2025(4) dt.28-07-2026 3/3 lifted the amount. The voluminous counter affidavit of the State as also the cryptic counter affidavit of 'the NHAI' fails to throw light on the case in hand.

In that background, the only remedy available to the Court is to direct the petitioner to approach the District Land Acquisition Officer, Sasaram at Rohtas (respondent no.8) who shall be going through the facts of the case and see to it whether the petitioner is entitled to the compensation amount or not. If the petitioner is entitled to the amount, appropriate steps be taken and a reasoned order has to be passed by him/her.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
