Nadim Seraj, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board and Ms. Binita Singh, learned SC 28 for the State.
2. The petitioner in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition has sought inter alia the following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:- "1. That the present Writ Application is being filed for issuance of
Patna High Court CWJC No.17169 of 2021(3) dt.26-06-2025 2/3 a Writ in the nature of a Writ of Certiorari, or any other appropriate Writ order, Quashing, the Memo No. 140 dated 19.07.2021 (Annexure - 8), issued under the signature of Controller of Examination (Misc.), Bihar School Examination Board, Patna (Respondent No.6), by the Impugned memo dated 19.07.2021 the Respondent No.6 has refuse to rectify the final result of the Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test 2019 of the Petitioner, on the ground that the Petitioner herself had filled her application and had also made necessary rectification, as now there is no provision to make any kind of rectification in the result. The Petitioner further prays for the consequential writ of Mandamus commanding the respondent authorities, especially the Respondent No.
6, to make necessary rectification in the Column of Gender of the Petitioner in her STET 2019 Result, as the Petitioner in her Application form had mentioned in the Column of Gender as "Female", however it appears that on account of some technical glitch, as well as error on the part of the Respondent Board, in the final result of the Petitioner her Gender has been shown as "Male", as such the Petitioner cannot be held liable for the said error and also to direct the Respondent BSEB to make necessary correction in the merit of the Petitioner and award her suitable position in the merit prepared for Mathematics subject of Paper II under the General Female Category in which the final cut off is 75.5245 and the Petitioner in the said subject has obtained 77.6224 i.e. above the cutoff marks."
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State informs that it has been stated in para-4 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the Respondent No.4 that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed by making the necessary correction in the STET Result, 2019 and her (petitioner's)
Patna High Court CWJC No.17169 of 2021(3) dt.26-06-2025 3/3 gender has been rectified from "Male" to "Female" and a letter bearing no.290 dated 13.09.2024 has been sent to the District Education Officer, Patna for handing over the modified result card to the petitioner and the said information has also been sent to the petitioner.
4. In view of the aforesaid information, the present writ petition is consigned.
