Petitioner happens to be son of the informant who initially lodged the first information report against unknown persons and admitted in his written report that he had not identified any person but subsequently, after two days of the alleged occurrence, he filed another petition before the police mentioning the fact that it was petitioner and his brother-in-law who opened fire on him as partition dispute was going on between them. The investigation against the petitioner has already been completed.
