2. This writ petition is directed against the nonpayment of petitioner's salary for the month of May, 2021 to February, 2023.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at the relevant point of time, the petitioner was working as Statics Calculator in the department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Bihar.

4. Counter affidavit has been filed by the State, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner has been paid as salary an amount of Rs.18,27,950/- by referring to order dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.10717 of 2023(3) dt.12-01-2024 2/3 10.10.2023 issued by the District Animal Husbandry Officer, Vaishali, Hajipur vide Memo No.1885 (page 12 of the counter affidavit).

Learned State Counsel has submitted that though the gross pay of the petitioner was calculated as 23,20,234/-, but after deduction of Rs.4,92,284/- the petitioner has been paid a sum of Rs.18,27,950/- as salary, for the period the petitioner was working as Statics Calculator in the department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Bihar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, while acknowledging the receipt of Rs.18,27,950/- as salary paid to the petitioner, has submitted that this writ petition may be disposed of with a liberty granted to the petitioner to agitate before the appropriate authority in sofar as the deduction of Rs.4,92,284/- made by the respondent authorities.

7. Prayer is allowed.

8. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of with a liberty granted to the petitioner to agitate before the appropriate authority regarding the deduction of Rs.4,92,284/- made by the respondent authorities in the order dated 10.10.2023 referred to hereinabove.

9. As and when the petitioner approaches the

Patna High Court CWJC No.10717 of 2023(3) dt.12-01-2024 3/3 appropriate authority against the deduction made as above, the appropriate authority shall take a decision as expeditiously as possible.
