Petitioner is languishing in custody since 27.04.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 304B, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Accusation is of killing the daughter of the informant after 10 months of the marriage for nonfulfillment of dowry demand and disposing of the dead body. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that cremation was done in presence of the family members of the deceased. The informant in subsequent statement has stated that he came to know about the death on 08.03.2014 whereas written report lodged on 12.03.2014 and the investigation has already concluded.
