1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) A mandamus commanding direction to the respondent authorities to pay the salary of the petitioner from 1st January 2015 to 23rd December 2015 with interest while the petitioner has worked on contact basis in the department."

2. This Court vide order dated 18.01.2018, had recorded that the services of the petitioner had stood extended from 07.02.2015 to 07.01.2016 on the post of Assistant, hence a

Patna High Court CWJC No.1044 of 2018(5) dt.10-04-2024 2/2 sum of Rs.2,21,851/-, was due for payment to the petitioner, in view of the services rendered by him for the said period, thus the respondents were directed to make payment of the same.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondentBihar State Food and Civil Supply Corporation, Patna has submitted by referring to the compliance affidavit, filed in the present case that a sum of Rs.2,21,851/- has already stood paid to the petitioner in the year 2018, itself, hence the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
