Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under section 302 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code. The informant named the petitioner along with other accused persons. The informant alleged that Dilip Tanti cut the neck of Shambhu Tanti the brother and Saramen Devi the mother of the informant who died on the spot. Dilip Tanti also assaulted Wakil Tanti and his wife Neelam Devi with sickle on their hand. There is no allegation of assault against the petitioner. Co-accused Mantun Tanti, Pinku Tanti, Jagdish Tanti and Pramod Tanti have already been enlarged on bail.
