The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs - "(i) To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 5, the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara to dispose of the Appeal vide Revenue Misc. Appeal No. ..../2017, filed by the petitioner on 18.11.2017 which is pending for final disposal regarding the cancellation of licence no. 76/2007 of the petitioner for distribution of ration & K. oil.

(ii) To pass any other order/orders, direction/directions for which the petitioner is entitled too in the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though the petitioner has filed a Revenue Misc. Appeal before the District Magistrate, Bhojpur, Ara, as far back as on 18.11.2017, the same continues to remain pending.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents appears and has been heard.

5. Having regard to the nature of the prayer of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara (respondent no. 5) to consider and dispose of the appeal said to have been filed on 18.11.2017, if still pending, on its own merit and in accordance with law after grant of opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
