1. Mr. Prashat Kumar, learned counsel for the opposite party - EPFO submits that order dated 22.02.2023 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 270 of 2020 has been complied and payment towards P.F. to the tune of Rs. 3,68,950/- has been credited in the bank account of the petitioner on 3rd December, 2025.

Patna High Court MJC No.1963 of 2023(14) dt.12-12-2025 2/3 Further, a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- under employees deposit link insurance scheme has also been credited on 27.11.2025 and P.P.O. has been generated for payment of pension on 5th December, 2025. Arrear of pension to the tune of Rs. 1,87,387/- has been processed for payment on 8th December, 2025 and is likely to be transferred within one week in the bank account of the petitioner The family pension of the petitioner for the current period shall start very shortly.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that insofar the P.F. is concerned, the details of deduction of P.F. for the period 1977-1999 has not been considered and payment for the aforesaid period has not been made to the petitioner.

Upon this, learned counsel for the EPFO submits that for those periods the BSFC was exempted under Section 17 of the EPF Act and deductions were being deposited in the Board of Trustees formed by the BSFC. After exemption was cancelled on 31st March, 2004 the amount deposited in the Board of Trustees has been transferred in the account of the EPFO. The details of transfer from Dhanbad after bifurcation of the State in the EPF account of Patna and Jharkhand has to be examined and verified by the EPFO in co-operation / support of the BSFC / JSFC.

4. Accordingly, their prayer is that the petitioner may be permitted to file a representation before BSFC / District Manager, JSFC (Dhanbad) for redressal of her grievance towards non payment of P.F. for the period 1977-99.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that all payments have been made except for the aforesaid period of 1977-99 against P.F., this contempt application is disposed with liberty to the petitioner to file representation before the BSFC, JSFC, EPFO, Patna & Ranchi for redressal of her grievance towards non payment of P.F. amount for the period 1977-99.
