2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 117(2), 109, 119(2), 308(5), 303(2), 352 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
3. The prosecution case, in brief, is that on 10.02.2026 at about 2 PM, informant was called near Kosi bridge by all the named accused persons and when he went there to see the land, he was assaulted by the F.I.R. named accused persons and 10-12 unknown persons, on the point of pistol. It is further alleged that the informant was taken from Kosi bridge to Kamat where he was again brutally assaulted by all the accused persons and they also took his signature on four blank papers.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.47026 of 2026(2) dt.29-07-2026 2/2 petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. Petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. and his name transpired after 20 days of the alleged occurrence. Allegation of assault is general and omnibus and there is no allegation of any specific overt act against petitioner.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application.

Considering backdrop of the case and nature of accusation, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar in connection with Nagar Katihar P. S. Case No. 202 of 2026, subject to condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
