The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Navinagar P.S. Case No. 194 of 2020 dated 29.08.2020 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Amended Excise Act, 2018.

On a raid by the bank of a river, 70 litres of mahua liquor is said to have been recovered. Many persons were found running away from the place of raid. The petitioner has been identified by the villagers as one of them.

Merely on the aforesaid accusation, the petitioner is said to be in custody since 14.07.2021.

Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation, he is directed to be

No.57979 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned ADJ-II-cum-Special Judge Excise, Aurangabad (Bihar) in connection with Navinagar P.S. Case No. 194 of 2020.
