2. The present petition has been preferred for the

2/4 grant of following relief(s):

"(i) for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents particularly respondent no. 6 (Circle Officer, Bettiah Sadar) to dispose of the representation dated 05.03.2026 (Part of Annexure-P7 series) forthwith in terms of order dated 23.09.2025 passed by the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Bettiah Sadar in Rent Fixation Case No. 01/2025-26 and open Jamabandi in the name of petitioner's firm and issue rent receipt accordingly.

(ii) for issuance of any other writ/writs, order/orders for which petitioners deemed entitled to."

The petitioner on the basis of lease granted on 02.02.1984 want disposal of his representation dated 05.03.2025 which is presently pending before the Circle Officer, Bettiah Sadar, West Champaran, he has taken this Court to the order vide memo no.1869 dated 25.09.2025 disposed of by the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Bettiah, West Champaran, to submit that he made the recommendation for fixing the rent and gave

3/4 direction to the Circle Officer, Bettiah, West Champaran to act accordingly (annexure-P/6 to the writ petition).

The submission is that thereafter the petitioners are sitting over the matter and has drawn the attention of this Court to a letter issued by the Deputy Director, Bihar Survey Office, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Bihar, Patna (memo no.492 dated 05.03.2025) to submit that once an order comes from a superior court, it has to be complied in seven days (annexure-P/8 to the writ petition).

5. The contention is that even this letter is dated 05.03.2025 but the respondent Circle Officer, Bettiah Sadar (respondent no.6) has still not completed the process forcing them to file the present writ petition.

6. Learned State counsel submits that if the petition has not been disposed of, it will be taken to its logical conclusion at an earliest.

This Court has taken note of the entire fact which stand incorporated, long rope has been given to the Circle Officer, Bettiah Sadar and now he/she has to act in accordance with letter no.1430 dated 29.05.2026 issued by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Bihar, Patna and shall be disposing of the case of the petitioner within a period of seven days from

4/4 the date the copy of the order is received in his/her office to avoid contempt.

8. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
