The present modification application has been filed seeking extension of time of surrender as by order dated 13.06.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 35114 of 2021, the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail with a condition that he will surrender within a period of six weeks.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since petitioner was bed ridden as such he could not surrender in time and in support of which Annexure-2 has been annexed with the present modification application.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for extension of time of surrender.

No.46131 of 2022(2) dt.31-08-2022 2/2 Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner was granted privilege of anticipatory bail vide order dated 13.06.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 35114 of 2021, as such the time for surrendering is extended further by one week from today.

In the event, if the petitioner does not surrender on or before 06.09.2022, this order will not be given effect i.e., if the petitioner surrenders after 06.09.2022, the order will loose its effect.

The order dated 13.06.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 35114 of 2021 is modified to the extent indicated above. (Satyavrat Verma, J) Rishi/- U T
