2. The present writ application has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondent nos. 5 and 8 to pay to the petitioner the amount of GPF along with statutory interest.

It is submitted that the petitioner superannuated from the post of Superintending Engineer, Road Construction Department, Road Circle, Munger on 29.06.2016, however, till date the amount of GPF has not been paid to the petitioner. He fairly submits that other substantive retiral dues have stood paid to the petitioner except the aforesaid GPF amount. He next submitted that for ventilating his grievance, the petitioner has also filed representation before the Director, GPF, Patna and the District Provident Fund Officer, Munger, but till date, the payment has not been made. It is also contended on behalf of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the concerned Superintending Engineer, Road Construction Department, Road Circle, Munger vide his Memo No. 1142 dated 07.11.2019 has sent the details of deduction in connection with the petitioner's provident fund, to the District Provident Fund Officer, Munger for necessary action, but the District Provident Fund Officer, Munger is sitting tight over the matter.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that if the writ application would be disposed of with a direction to the District Provident Fund Officer, Munger, the necessary admissible dues shall be paid to the petitioner.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, the writ application stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 8 to ensure the necessary payment of admissible GPF along with statutory interest to the petitioner, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the present writ application stands disposed of.
