JUSTICE RAMESH KUMAR DATTA) 20-04-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsels for the State and for the erstwhile Bihar State Electricity Board, now the Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd. In the supplementary show cause filed today on behalf of the Chief Secretary, Bihar, it is stated that the dues of the erstwhile Bihar State Electricity Board as also of the successor Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd. and its distribution companies, namely, North Bihar Power Distribution Company and South Bihar Power Distribution Company have been cleared from time to time and the dues for the period of January, February and

Patna High Court MJC No.2883 of 2009 (11) dt.20-04-2015 March, 2015, which comes to Rs.529.30 crores, has also been paid and the outstanding dues as on 1.4.2015 for both the DISCOMS comes to Rs.501.71 crores. The said facts are also reiterated in the show cause filed on behalf of the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd. In the aforesaid view of the matter, it appears that the directions of this Court given in the order dated 15.10.2008 under contempt have been substantially complied with.
