The petitioner is an unreserved female candidate who has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents/ the Bihar State University Service Commission, (hereinafter referred as 'Commission'), to allow the petitioner to participate in the interview for the post of Assistant Professor, Sanskrit in terms of the advertisement No. AP-SANS-06/20-21 dated 21.09.2020.
3. The Commission has filed a counter affidavit wherein it has been stated that the cut off marks for participation in the interview for the post of Assistant Professor, Sanskrit in
Patna High Court CWJC No.10670 of 2025(3) dt.09-07-2025 2/3 the unreserved female category is 83. The petitioner has scored only 68 marks as she was not awarded any marks out of the total 10 marks, earmarked for the teaching experience because the petitioner did not submit the requisite teaching experience certificate as provided in the advertisement; namely, the petitioner's teaching experience in the college, issued by the Principal of the of the college and duly countersigned by the Registrar of the University. The petitioner in the instant case has admitted to have submitted a certificate of teaching experience in the school.
4. Insofar as the marks earmarked for research publication, out of total 10 marks only 2 marks was awarded and the remaining 8 marks in respect of the four research papers was not awarded because the reference was not mentioned therein.

Since no marks could have been awarded to the petitioner under the heading teaching experience, as it is an admitted case that the petitioner had submitted a certificate of teaching experience in the school instead of certificate of his teaching experience in the college, therefore, even if the remaining 8 marks for the research publication submitted is given to the petitioner, the petitioner's total score would be 76,
Patna High Court CWJC No.10670 of 2025(3) dt.09-07-2025 3/3 which would still be far below the cut off marks of 83 in the case of the unreserved female category.
6. Under the circumstances, I find that even if the petitioner succeeds in making out a case for awarding marks for the remaining research publication, the petitioner would still be far below the cut off marks prescribed by the Commission for participation in the interview.
7. In that view of the matter, no case is made out for any interference by this Court directing the petitioner to allow participating in the interview
8. The writ petition stands dismissed.
