Petitioner is named in the first information report and it is alleged that he demanded extortion money from the informant who happens to be Panchayat secretary. When the informant refused to fulfil the demand of the petitioner, petitioner snatched Rs 2,000/- from the informant but fortunately, police reached there and the petitioner was caught on the spot.

Petitioner carries criminal antecedent of several cases but submission on behalf of the petitioner is that the petitioner is in jail custody since 3.6.2015 and, as a matter of fact, some hot exchange of words had taken place between the petitioner and the informant but the informant lodged this case with exaggerated story. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as submissions of the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail on
