JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-04-2024 Heard Mr. Vijay Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Ms. Binita Singh, learned SC-28 appearing on behalf of the State and Mr. Amitabh Sohan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Magadh University.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs that though the substantial amount under

Patna High Court MJC No.1978 of 2023(9) dt.10-04-2024 2/2 different heads of the retiral dues has been paid to the petitioner but the up-to-date interest has not been calculated, the petitioner has not been provided with the calculation chart and the representation of the petitioner has also not been considered and disposed of.

Considering the aforesaid information that the substantial amount of retiral dues under different heads has been paid to the petitioner, I am of the opinion that the Finance Officer and the Registrar of the University must ensure to make payment of the remaining amount after calculating the interest and dispose of the representation, which has been filed by the petitioner, which is still pending, after giving calculation chart, so that the petitioner may get satisfied.

4. With the above observation/direction, the present contempt petition is disposed of.
