ANJANA PRAKASH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 14-07-2016 The Petitioners seek revision of the judgment of conviction dated 5.2.2016 passed by the District & Sessions Judge, Buxar in Criminal Appeal No.16 of 2010, by which he has upheld the conviction of the Petitioner and maintained the sentence of 3 years R.I. and fine of Rs.2000/- under Section 324 I.P.C., in default of which simple imprisonment for another six months, by judgment dated 22.2.2010 passed by the Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Buxar in Trial No.18 of 2009/ G.R. No.1734 of 2008 arising out of Dumraon P.S. case No.132 of 2008.

Having gone through the impugned judgment, I do not find any merit in the revision. However, considering the period of custody of the Petitioners, the sentence is modified to the period

However, they are required to deposit the fine as directed by the Court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order, failing which he shall be sentenced to imprisonment as directed by the court below. With the aforesaid modification in sentence, the revision application stands dismissed.
