1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in Laukaha P. S. Case No.287 of 2023 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 363,302,201 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The learned A.P.P. Sri Chandra Bhushan Prasad submits that it is a case of honour killing. It is next submitted that petitioner is brother of the deceased. It is further submitted that deceased was in love, which was being objected by her family members including the petitioner, as such, she was brutally murdered. It is also submitted that the FIR was instituted by the mother of the deceased and during course of investigation, the petitioner was arrested and based on his confession, the dead body of the deceased was recovered, which

4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner is not in a position to rebut the submission of the learned A.P.P. that based on confession of the petitioner, the dead body of the deceased was recovered.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned A.P.P., the Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

6. Accordingly, the prayer of the petitioner for regular bail stands rejected.
