====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 15-03-2023 Heard Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Yogendra Kumar, learned APP appearing on behalf of the State.
2. Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sheikhopursarai P.S. Case No. 14 of 2020 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 302, 307, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. Petitioner had earlier moved before this court for grant of regular bail by filing Cr. Misc. No. 28248 of 2021which was rejected by this Court vide order dated 03.02.2022 with liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail, if no substantial progress takes place in the trial.
4. A report was called for from the court below with
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.48044 of 2022(4) dt.15-03-2023 2/2 respect to the stage of the trial vide order dated 16.11.2022 and in compliance of the same, learned District and Sessions Judge, Sheikhpura vide Letter No. 94/2022 dated 19.11.2022 has informed that the trial is likely to be concluded within three months.
5. Considering the aforesaid report, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the bail application stands rejected.
