The petitioner, who is the widow of late Anisur Rahman who died while on duty in the year 2003, has approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to ensure revision of the family pension and other monetary benefits to which she is entitled and for which she has been representing every now and then.
3. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that despite such advantages having accrued to
Patna High Court CWJC No.15653 of 2019 dt.08-08-2019 2/3 the service of the petitioner's husband, she is not getting the benefits of the same and her representations have yielded no result.
4. Forced by such apathy of the respondents, the petitioner has been constrained to prefer the present writ petition.
5. Considering the aforesaid circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to make a detailed representation before the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra (respondent no. 4) within a period of four weeks from today, detailing her grievances, who, on receipt of such representation shall verify the facts, ascertain the entitlement of the petitioner and after being satisfied, shall pass an order in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of such representation. If in case necessary information is to be sought from other department viz. Excise Department, the same may be done at the level of the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra
Patna High Court CWJC No.15653 of 2019 dt.08-08-2019 3/3 only, considering that the petitioner is leading a life of a widow and is a poor person.
6. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
