2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 548 of 2021 arising out of Valmikinagar P.S. Case No. 51 of 2021 instituted for the offences under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code.

3. Prosecution case, in short, is that the petitioner tortured and killed the deceased for the non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the present application is the second application for grant of bail. It

No. 10447 of 2023, the petitioner had withdrawn the first application for grant of bail, however, liberty was given to the petitioner to renew his prayer for grant of bail if the trial is not concluded within a period of six months and in light of that order, the petitioner has filed the present application. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case.It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 29.07.2021 and has no criminal antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Earlier, vide order dated 13.11.2024, report regarding the present stage of the trial from the learned court below was called for and the same has been received. Vide Letter No. 1281 dated 20.11.2024, learned Trial Court has reported that out of eleven charge-sheeted witnesses, ten witnesses including informant, doctor and I.O. have been examined. It is further reported that trial is likely to be concluded within a month.

7. Considering the present stage of the trial, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, the prayer is rejected.
