The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the POCSO Act in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No. 416 of 2019.

Perused the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. She has levelled allegation against the petitioner of commission of rape. The victim is aged about 13 years.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.3338 of 2021(5) dt.14-07-2021 2/2 for bail is refused. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
