JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA) 06-04-2022 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.
The petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to provide electricity connection and to install electric meter in her premises. It has been contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner before us that the petitioner has now completed all the formalities and produced necessary documents.
Patna High Court CWJC No.17369 of 2021(3) dt.06-04-2022 2/2 Under the circumstances, the concerned Executive Engineer of the Company shall ensure that the electric connection is granted to the petitioner at the earliest, in any case not later than a week.
In the eventuality, the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited finds that the Executive Engineer has been remiss in his duties, it shall be at liberty to take appropriate action against him.
The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforementioned terms.
