Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A)/34 of the IPC. Allegation against petitioners is of commission of torture due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Petitioners no. 1 and 2 are father in law and mother in law respectively of the informant.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there is no specific allegation of illegal demand against these petitioners. They are separate in mess and property and have got no concern with the affairs of couple.

Considering the facts of the case, in the event of arrest/surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Nautan P.S.
