2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Maranga P.S. Case No. 164 of 2025 registered for the offence under Sections 8(C), 21(C), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
3. As per the prosecution story, on receiving secret information, the SHO of Maranga P.S. formed a raiding team with police and a deputed Magistrate. A truck was intercepted at the toll plaza and searched. From beneath bags of chura, 29,000 bottles of codeine cough syrup were recovered. The driver was arrested and vehicle seized.
4. The learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case.

5. The learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
6. Considering the fact that the petitioner is the driver of the said vehicle and his prayer for regular bail is confirmed, he will remain on the same bail bond. So far as the other coaccused persons are concerned, the Superintendent of Police, Purnia is directed to take all appropriate measures in the investigation, as this case has all India ramification and the main accused, namely, Shubham Jaiswal of U.P., who has been pursued by the U.P. Police and the Enforcement Directorate and another co-accused Bhola Prasad has also been arrested in connection with Robertganj P.S. Case No. 1191 of 2025. The Superintendent of Police, Purnia is directed to take appropriate action in this case.
