The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Piprakothi P.S. Case No. 240 of 2018 registered for the offences under Sections 376, 511, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has tried to commit rape upon the informant and he is also tampering with the evidence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him. This application for anticipatory bail is dismissed. In case the petitioner surrenders and prays for regular bail before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, the court below will consider the petition for regular bail of the petitioner without being prejudiced by the fact that anticipatory bail petition has been dismissed by this Court.
