The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 323 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code. As per the prosecution case, petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the informant with sharp edged weapon and thereby caused injury on his back, head and hand. It is submitted that injury sustained by the informant is simple in nature. As a matter of fact, the petitioner had gone to purchase saree from the shop of informant and during purchase scuffle took place between the parties, as a result of which informant sustained simple injury. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.
