Having regard to the fact that no part of cause of action has arisen within the territorial jurisdiction of this Court, the present writ application pertaining to selection in Assam Rifles must be held to be not maintainable. When such an observation has been made, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this application in order to enable the petitioner to move before the competent forum/Court.

That being so, this application is permitted to be withdrawn with the aforementioned liberty.
