The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 306 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. As per prosecution case that the informant Raj Kishore Prasad alleging therein that the deceased Sangeeta Devi was a sister and she was married with the accused Ravi Ranjan Kumar @ Bipin Kumar in the year 2010. It is further alleged that after some time of marriage accused Ravi Ranjan Kumar @ Bipin Kumar
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.58463 of 2021(2) dt.27-06-2022 2/3 and his younger brother Chintu Kumar (petitioner) and other family members started torturing his sister and use to demand dowry. It is also alleged that his sister was blessed a son aged about 8 years from her wedlock. It is lastly alleged that due to torture by them her sister consumed poison on 17.12.2020 and she was died during course of treatment.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners have no concern with this occurrence because petitioner no. 1 is Devar and petitioner no. 2 is mother-in-law of the deceased. It is also submitted that the main responsibility is against the husband of the deceased, who is not petitioner in this case. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that petitioners have no criminal antecedent. In the facts and circumstance of the case, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.58463 of 2021(2) dt.27-06-2022 3/3 on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousands) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-VI, Danapur in connection with Bikram P.S. Case No. 355 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
